Switchable glass

Make glass transparent or opaque with the push of a button

PDLC (Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal) films are naturally translucent or opaque in their neutral state, but become transparent when voltage is applied. These PDLC films are typically laminated between two glass panels, resulting in switchable glass that can be used for applications such as automotive sunroofs.

Our laser technology enables precise cutting of PDLC films to custom sizes, creates access to the electrically conductive layers, and scribes invisible lines in the film to divide the surface into subareas that can be independently switched.
