Workshop Mobile Connectivity in trains

ORION Laser Tech is proud to host a workshop at RailTech Europe 2026 in Utrecht, Netherlands. We’re excited to connect with industry leaders, innovators, and rail technology experts from across Europe.

Workshop: Mobile connectivity in trains

Time and place:  March 4th, 202614:10,  RailTech Europe, Utrecht

In an increasingly connected world, passengers expect seamless mobile coverage, yet modern trains and building materials often stand in the way. Low‑E windows, in particular, can dramatically weaken mobile signals, making calls, browsing and streaming frustratingly unreliable.

During this workshop, Dries Basemans, Business Development Manager at ORION Laser Tech, will talk about:

  • Why mobile signal attenuation happens in trains and buildings
  • How Low‑E coatings impact 4G/5G performance
  • How laser‑based glass coating removal offers an affordable, scalable solution

How this technology can boost indoor mobile signal strength by 100x

If you’re involved in passenger experience, rail operations, connectivity solutions or rolling stock innovation, this session will give you practical insights and real‑world strategies to improve onboard connectivity.
